CANNON KUDOS

So Selected Salvos 2 made a small splash (tiny ripple?) this week when Lulu.com, my self-publishing platform, listed my book as No. 10 on their "Top 100 this week in Books > Humor" list:

And at about the same time Salvos 2 landed on Goodread's Listopia category of Individualist Nonfiction – at least long enough for someone to choose it as "Want To Read" before it disappeared again. What is this, the only copy of the book on the shelf? Wonder who checked it out:

And just to round out the week a Goodreads writer sent me a ten-question interview request which I answered and sent back to him. No telling what will become of that.

Just basking in the dim flicker that some recognition is better than no recognition at all.

Selected Salvos 2 Video on YouTube

The Selected Salvos 2 YouTube video starts with a BOOM and keeps on booming as its slides illustrate each of the twenty articles offered from the Loose Cannon Libertarian website archives from 2002 and 2003.

Posted on February 10, 2015 the whole idea of course is to promote the book. Some of the slides representing the Table of Contents are original artworks and some are mashups from multiple sites. But for the record ALL of it came from non-copyrighted / non Intellectual Property venues. Every scrap of repurposed pieces and graphic bits in every slide was procured from public domain, shared downloads, free clipart, Creative Commons, online providers like Wikimedia Commons, Pixabay, DeviantArt and other open sources.

My favorite place to search for great graphics is DeviantArt.com with its hundreds of free-spirited and highly imaginative individuals, most of whom offer free downloads of their artistic endeavors.

I hope you enjoy the video and leave comments.

Salvos 2 now at the Usual Places

Selected Salvos 2, the second onslaught of essays in the Fun&Freedom Book Series is now available from the usual sources – Amazon, Barnes&Noble, Lulu, Goodreads – in the usual formats – paperback, ePub, iTunes, Kindle – from the usual Loose Cannon Libertarian Opinionizer.

In this skinny little booklet you can get all the skinny on PLAYBOYNOMICS – how the political plunderers subsidize their egghead allies in the corridors of academe who engage in economic evaluations on matters of Playmate pulchritude.

It's a score of hoary stories deploring grievously egregious economic evils and lightly related retellings from the Loose Cannon Libertarian library.

And of course all the sites shown in the box above offer Customer Reviews!

WHAT? Haven't written and posted your customer review yet? Haven't even downloaded your FREE PDF copy and read it yet? That can be instantly remedied by still going here before time runs out:

Happy reviewing!

FREE PDF OF SELECTED SALVOS 2

Don't know how many are still reading this blog out there since it's been moribund (always wanted to use that word) for several weeks now but here's why:

GET MY BOOK FREE! / READ IT! / ENJOY IT! / REVIEW IT!

Hello all members of my Libertarian Opinionizer Community and Fun&Freedom people everywhere ...

I've just kicked my "SELECTED SALVOS 2 FROM THE LOOSE CANNON LIBERTARIAN" book down the self-pub chute and into the big cruel world and I'm asking (begging, pleading, wheedling, cajoling) everyone who reads this to help promote it by:

1. Writing a review and posting it where others can read it...

2. Interviewing me via email and posting it where others can read it...

3. Doing both!

If you don't have anywhere to post it that others can read it send it to me and I'll post it here and there and everywhere for you. Either way please let me know about it!

IT'S QUICK, FUN AND EASY

It's a small book, approx 74 pages long. It contains only 20 articles, each approx 750 words long. So it won't take a major commitment and you might actually have a few chuckles along the way.

SELECTED SALVOS now on KINDLE for 99¢

Now that the big distraction of the intramural hissy-fit position-jockeying power-grabbing squabble between the two big Republican and Democrat factions within the One Big Ruling Class Political Party is over ...

It's finally time for me to correct a really dumb oversight – making Selected Salvos available on Kindle Books via Amazon. I've priced the thing at 99¢ because I want people to buy it, read it, enjoy it, recommend it, write reviews about it and interview me for their blogs and websites

My long range plan is to make this Book One in a series of several mini-books like this one (70-100 pages or so) under the name "A Fun&Freedom Book."

I've already figured that with all of my archive articles I can churn out around ten of these little booklets, which would make a nice little shelf for me if for no one else. I'd just like to bring in enough money with each edition to offset the costs of publicizing the next one.

Ten of these tiny tomes? Yes, you can take that either as a promise or a threat.

DJ's Shoutout to his Fans

Internationally acclaimed nightclub DJ Freaky Flow posted my book cover on his Facebook page and recommended it to his thousands of fans.

American born, Canadian raised and educated and now Los Angeles-based Freaky Flow plays at major events throughout Canada, the US, Mexico, Puerto Rico, Japan, Hong Kong, Germany, Austria, England, and Slovenia.

And now he's also a new author who just published his first book under his real name Stephen Aaron Grey. The book is Ant Farm, inspired by George Orwell's Animal Farm, and subtitled "A Novel About What’s Bugging Society."

Grey shies away from the libertarian label but identifies himself as someone who "is always coming from the position of voluntary interaction" which sounds a whole lot like my kind of libertarianism.

His book, which explores political and social issues from a bug’s eye view is currently available for pre-order through Amazon and will be officially released August 30.

And it just so happens that an exclusive interview with the author will be posted on Libertarian News Examiner on August 28, so be sure to check that out too!

My quotes come tumbling out of tumblr

Just found a whole bunch of quotes from my Examiner articles on tumblr, all but one posted by a "timlebsack" who I take to be Dallas Libertarian Tim Lebsack who comments on my Dallas Libertarian Examiner articles from time to time.

The one exception is a post by Robert A. McKeown of The Blue Collar Economist who posted a teaser and link to "Salvos of Fun & Freedom," the title of his review of my book Selected Salvos from the Loose Cannon Libertarian.

Thanks guys!

AND DON'T FORGET MY OFFER...

I'll send you one FREE proof copy in pdf format of my SELECTED SALVOS FROM THE LOOSE CANNON LIBERTARIAN eBook if you will write a review of it or interview me about it and send me the link to where you posted it online! All the details here:
